I've become something of a pattern hoarder of late. A couple times a year it seems that the major companies do $1 a pattern sales and I go nuts buying anything that I don't think I already own, which is probably why an article about 83,500 vintage patterns being available online caught my eye.
I haven't had a ton of time to search through these yet, but it's essentially a wiki for patterns that provides images of the front jacket and details about the origination of the design with links to pertinent resources. A quick perusal of the article led me to believe that I'd find the actual patterns themselves, as though they'd be there for the download, but I haven't found that to be the case. A few of them do have links to where you can pick one up, though. If nothing else, it's interesting to take a look at the styles of yesteryear and ask, "What the hell were we thinking?"
